Fr. Jesus Zamarripa-Salazar Ordained

                Divine Word missionary Jesus Zamarripa-Salazar was ordained June 2 by

                Bishop John Manz, Auxiliary of Chicago, at Divine Word International

                Church of the Holy Spirit in Techny. His parents, Juan Zamarripa and

                Anastasia Salazar, of Monrovia, California attended the ordination at

                Techny and first Mass at St. Cecilia parish in Mount Prospect. About eight

                hundred people filled the church to standing room only for the first Mass.

                During his diaconate year, Jesus ministered with Mision Verbita in Mount

                Prospect under the supervision of Fr. Sonny de Rivera. Fr. Jesus has been

                assigned to Spain, where he participated in the Cross-Cultural Training

                Program, working among Filipino immigrants.
